Who we are

SermonShine was born from one small church’s big vision—to share the message of Christ far beyond the sanctuary walls.

When I became Chair of the Media Team at my small church of about 100 members, I was tasked with a simple but powerful mission: get our message out to the world. We already had a good sound system and faithful preaching—but we weren’t reaching people outside our building.

So, I got to work.

I learned how to capture and edit our sermons, optimize our content for Facebook and YouTube, and create compelling short videos to expand our reach. The result? Our online presence grew from nearly nothing to over 400 followers across platforms—and more importantly, people who had never walked through our doors were now hearing the Gospel.

Now, I want to help other churches do the same.

SermonShine exists to take what’s already happening in your church—the preaching, the worship, the moments of ministry—and make it shine online. Whether you’re a small rural church with a faithful congregation or a growing community looking to expand your outreach, I’m here to help you share your message with excellence, authenticity, and clarity.

Let’s make your sermons shine so more people can hear the Good News.

When we first began looking into improving our church’s media presence, I did what most would do—I researched what the big churches were doing. Their broadcasts looked as professional as anything on television, and I wanted to see what it would take to bring that kind of quality to our small congregation. After pricing out a full upgrade to a digital sound system, I quickly realized the reality: just the sound upgrades alone would cost between $15,000 and $20,000. That didn’t even begin to cover the video side of things.

It became clear that this kind of high-end production simply wasn’t an option for us. But I also realized something important: most people aren’t watching church services on massive 4K TVs in surround sound. They’re watching on their phones, tablets, and laptops—on the go, in quiet moments, or at home with their families. What matters most isn’t cinematic polish—it’s clarity, consistency, and the power of the message.

So I set out to find a way to share our church services on Facebook and YouTube using the resources we already had—or could afford on a very small budget. Over time, we built a setup that looks clean, sounds great, and—most importantly—gets the message of Jesus Christ into people’s homes and hearts.

It’s not flashy. It’s not like the big church productions. But it works. And in the past year alone, we’ve seen more than 400 new followers join us online, and thousands of people watch our content every week.

We believe the Gospel is for everyone, and we’re committed to making it accessible in every way we can. That’s what this media ministry is all about—not production value, but eternal value.
